The next few days will hopefully see the posting of the rest of the shots I've taken since last term more or less. I filled up an SD card for the first time since I stopped using the 256 my parents got me for Christmas when I was sixteen. I usually cycle through three 4gb cards, clearing them as I go. I was so surprised that it took me a few seconds to figure out that it wasn't a battery or shutter issue. Recently, most of my personal projects have been shot using a Nikkor 55mm 3.5/f Micro from the early '70s. First entry since school started back up. Lining up shoots while in class three days a week and working about twenty hours isn't as easy as I had hoped. In fact, it is about as difficult as my inner realist predicted. Which is lame. Carrying around a D40 with a netbook and ten pounds of textbooks is really improving my cycling, but its something of a deterrent to actually taking the camera with me most of the time. In negotiations to pick up a D5000 body, which should be sweet. I've wanted to try shooting more model based photography for a while. The problem is that it usually requires both models and skills/money to do that. Having neither the experience nor the funds to get started, I've been putting it off. My buddy Pete pointed out to me the other day that we know a lot of good looking people, many of whom wouldn't mind having their photos taken in the least.
